Beneath the azure skies of the Mediterranean, a dark cloud of tyranny and violence gathered. This was Fascist Italy, a nation where Benito Mussolini's iron-fisted rule smothered the voice of dissent and liberty. It was a time marked by the infamous years between the 1920s and 1940s, where the boot of fascism stomped upon the face of humanity.
One cannot forget the bombing of Guernica on April 26, 1937, a horrific act of aggression during the Spanish Civil War. Orchestrated by the German Luftwaffe with support from the Italian Aviazione Legionaria and the Corpo Truppe Volontarie, which comprised regular army units and Blackshirts from the Fascist paramilitary, this event remains a stark reminder of the brutality of totalitarian regimes. Vividly immortalized in Pablo Picasso's painting 'Guernica', it continues to symbolize the devastation of war.
But the horrors did not end there. Mussolini's conquest of Ethiopia in 1935 was a chapter stained by the indiscriminate use of chemical weapons, such as mustard gas, against combatants and civilians alike. The skies of Ethiopia wept with the poison of oppression, as countless innocents suffered under the tyranny of conquest.
It was in this era of brutality and moral darkness that Haile Selassie, the Emperor of Ethiopia, stood before the League of Nations on June 30, 1936, and voiced a prophecy that would echo through the ages: "It is us today. It will be you tomorrow." These words, a dire warning of the contagious nature of fascist aggression, resonate with chilling clarity. Can you imagine the despair and hopelessness that gripped the hearts of those who suffered under the shadow of fascism?
Join us as we unravel the cruel tapestry of Fascist Italy's atrocities. We delve into a time where ambition and cruelty walked hand in hand, leaving a trail of devastation...

The Left could do nothing without being evil. It is their DNA.
Poor Poland was monkey in the middle.
There was plenty of brutality and savagery on both sides in the Spanish Civil War. Guernica is enshrined only because of Picasso's painting.
The world would have been better off if he'd have had Gramsci shot right away.
Franco was necessary. You couldn’t treat the communist infection with the kid gloves treatment. Brutal means were required and fortunately El Caudillo was up to the task. In the end, Spain was saved from the Communist swine.
I always wondered what he said there. I bet it was pretty darn hilarious. Looks like he just told a really good joke the locals would get.
You know... a tour guide over there said he was a naughty boy. He was a basic thug, but it’s silly to pretend he was the same as Hitler.
He was your garden variety authoritarian, but that’s about it.
And bombing Guernica? The only reason they wail about that is because it was a communist position.
Your garden variety authoritarian doesn't use chemical weapons on another country, like he did in Ethiopia.
Sorry, I see now you were talking about Franco, not Mussolini.
Ha ha. I have never ever wondered what he said. No audio needed. The video speaks for itself.
Republican side was enshrined as the good guys because of Hemingway’s For Whom the Bell Tolls.
But Hemingway does describe a lot of viciousness on the side of the Republicans, too.
That little clip is severely manipulated to deceive you.
It succeeded.
With a little effort on your part, you can find on youtube or elsewhere the original video which was clipped, chopped, cut, and photoshopped to produce that.
Mussolini did not look like a blithering buffoon. He looked like a ranting demagogue. Which he was.
Leftists chop up videos of Donald Trump the same way. Do they "speak for themselves"? Do they tell you all you need to know about Donald Trump?
So Babi Yar was ok for you? Or are you restricting your critique to military matters?
Mussolini was a piker compared to what we have in the USA.
Benito could only dream of having the power to arrest thousands of citizens and throw them in prison without a trial. Just like what Biden has done.
From the Diary of Ashleigh Biden.
“Benito could only dream of having the power to arrest thousands of citizens and throw them in prison without a trial. Just like what Biden has done.”
Um...he did just that. It’s Biden who dreams of doing it wholesale, and also sending them off to death camps, and killing off whole villages on suspicion of helping the partisans, all of which Benito also did.
There it is.
“He did, however, seriously undercut Operation Barbarossa”
Not really, The German Army wasn’t ready, they hadn’t got all their vehicles yet, and there was severe flooding of the rivers. They had to wait for the rivers to go down.
I prefer the final picture. Hanging upside down and dead by the hands of those he succeeded in faschisting for so many years.
