Think he has been reading Emerson -
“A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines. With consistency a great soul has simply nothing to do. He may as well concern himself with his shadow on the wall. Speak what you think now in hard words, and to-morrow speak what to-morrow thinks in hard words again, though it contradict every thing you said to-day. — ‘Ah, so you shall be sure to be misunderstood.’ — Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood.”
Looks like Massie is living large to me.
Wars are bad.
Things get broke and people get killed in wars.
First Law of Wars - Don't start wars
Second Law of Wars - If you ignore the First Law of Wars and find yourself getting your ass kicked - stop fighting the war.
Third Law Of Wars - Do not commit war crimes and atrocities. Follow the Geneva Convention. Do not take hostages and treat prisoners according to Geneva Conventions. and International Law.
The people of Gaza had ignored all of the laws of war and are getting what they have brought upon themselves.
The war in Gaza can end in less than a day- all that needs to be done is return the Hostages and stop fighting.
There are close to 2 million residents of Gaza and maybe 15,000 Hamas fighters left alive. It's pretty easy for 2 million people to run 15,000 beat up to ground so the people of Gaza could put a stop to this war in short order if they wished to.
The fact is, the Residents of Gaza support the war with Israel and want it to continue. I am frankly offended that everyone is up in arms over the very small body count in Gaza and demand an immediate end to the fighting but are dead set on prolonging the death in destruction in the never ending Ukraine proxy war where the KIA count is near 750,000 Ukrainian and Russians and may be as high as a million by years end.
That was an interesting, informative post.
