60amp that’s archaic. We have 300amp to the main structure, 200 amps to the steel building and 200 amp dedicated solar tie in outbound / inbound meter. I inherited my grandparents houses one is a GI build from the 1940s it used to use screw in fuses and even then it has 100amp service it’s gas heat(little heaters in each room), gas cooking, and gas water heat. The other house is a rural farm house that is propane and is from the 1920s I’m not sure the panel size it doesn’t have a master breaker you cut the power at the meter, but it does have a 30amp electric clothes dryer outlet. That 30 amp outlet is all you would need for a small BYD car like this it can’t have more than a 50kWh pack probably 30kWh a Model 3 has a 50kWh pack and you could charge it from zero to 100% in ten hours from that cloths dryer outlet. How many load of laundry does one do in their sleep? Those little mini BYD are not for rural use anyway those are dedicated urbanite grocery getters and take a single person the 15 miles or less one way per day that urbanite drives.

I just took my Model 3 to San Antonio from DFW for a week in S.A. For Fiesta left near Oklahoma with a 100% SOC stopped at Bucees in Temple for a head call, some jerky and kolaches in the 20min piss and snack break it was back at 85% SOC then directly to S.A. For dinner and nightlife got in late the first night at the airbnb. The fam had got there earlier and check all of us in. Even after a night of driving in S.A. With the A.C. Ripping I still had 50% SOC.

I brought my Tesla mobile charger which is really just a plug adapter plus all my NEMA adapters. The rental house didn’t have a dedicated EV plug but it did have a cloths dryer outlet in the utility room right next to the garage it took 60 seconds to unplug the dryer and plug in the Tesla mobile charger using the NEMA 14-50 adapter plug. Then 40 seconds or so to tell the car to draw 24 amps from that plug. I went in and crashed out. When I got up in the afternoon it was already at 100% SOC I wouldn’t need to.charge again until the night before I left a week later but LFP cells like to be at 100% so opportunity charging is warranted if it’s a 45 second process which it was every time I came in at night I just plugged right up and walked away easy peasy. The sister and BIL loved the Tesla I let them both drive it in sport mode and FSD. Thst had a rental mini van I got the lols with my BIL about him driving it.
