Did this email come from a legit job site that you had already joined?
Or did the email come from just from out of nowhere?
If it was the latter, it could be a scam. You apply for a job and give them all your personal details, including social security number. That info is then sold on the dark web.
Am I being too suspicious? Probably. But I thought it was worth a mention anyway.
