The luna moth is quite spectacular. I’ve seen it twice, in the real world. My favorite is the cecropia moth; they were regulars in the neighborhood where I grew up.

The Luna is apparently not rare here, but I’ve only seen it once on a wall - I really thought it was some fake decoration at first! I guess we don’t see it much in the more congested areas, and because it’s nocturnal.

The cecropia is also in Maryland, but I’ve never seen that one.
