“SUV’s are classified as small trucks, which also puts them in a different category for CAFE fuel efficiency rules.”
I knew the larger SUVs were. What a game the politicians play!
👍🏼
Great incentive for her to put her nose to the grindstone and get a better car.
Boomers loved them but they (we) will all be dead soon. Cars aren’t supposed to be fun now. Once they get everyone into EVs they will put governors on them because “no one needs to be wasteful with energy”.
Nope, my wife’s Chevy Equinox is classed as a truck
Me too. My last two rental cars were Malibus. The other was a Hyundai Sonata. Another very nice car.
Maybe Hertz is cutting back or buying someone elses cars.
My father in law has had a Malibu for ten years. It has been a very reliable car. Of course, he would never admit IF he had an issue because he is a Chevy guy. Has been ever since the 50s when his uncle had a Chevy dealership. He has been driving Chevys his whole life.
Agree the last good design for the Malibu was 1966 to 1969 much like any other manufacture.
Anything past 1070 are only good for chicken coops.
I would guess all the fans posting are talking about older GM stuff, not the junk I see from rental fleets.
I really laugh at seeing the name Malibu on the rentals, remembering what righteous cars they were decades ago. Now they are crappy little econoboxes.
The article and my rply was about the crappy little box the Malibu is now, not the original.
Agree newer ones are God awful ugly with 5 miles of vacuum hoses and cheap push button controls and you could put a down payment on a house for the price the charge.
Proof Detroit still stuck in the nose candy era.
I have 1976 1 ton 4 speed dually Chevy truck with over 348,000 miles on the chassis.
CAN still get parts for it & repairs do not require a degree in Computers.
LOVE MY OLD IRON
I’m sure they make up for the losses by pushing battery crap nobody wants
Dumping your biggest selling brand doesn't seem like a good idea to me. Maybe they want to go bankrupt (again).

When you’re “too big to fail”...
Bankruptcy is where the money is.
