And when it burns up and kills every living thing? See, Horshoe Lake, in Mammoth Lakes California where every tree in the area was killed. See Lake Nyos Cameroon, where 1700 and all the livestock were killed from a CO2 fart.
How would CO2 burn up? CO2 is not flammable and in fact is the primary ingredient in some fire extinguishers? A storage facility might over m-pressurize and leak, but it couldn’t burn. (Even that isn’t too likely since CO2 liquifies at a relatively low pressure at ambient temperature, less than 1000 psi IIRC).
Not that I think this is a good idea. But fire certainly is not why it’s a bad idea
