For pregnant mothers, the number one cause of death is homicide.
Research has found that homicide, frequently committed by a husband or partner, took more pregnant mothers’ lives than any other cause. These crimes often destroy the lives of the mothers’ unborn babies as well, and a mother’s refusal to have an abortion frequently is a factor.
And that’s what happened in Wisconsin, where a man has bene charged with first-degree intentional homicide after confessing that he shot and killed his girlfriend because she told him she was pregnant and wanted to keep the baby.
According to police, 23-year-old Logan Barclay shot 22-year-old Kiersten Hansen. The couple already have a daughter
Barclay told police he got angry after Hansen refused to get an abortion. Barclay eventually confessed to killing Hansen after lying to law enforcement many times about his whereabouts the night of the killing.
Here’s more:
Prosecutors say two women were walking the trails near Peace Park on April 17 when they discovered the victim’s body. Investigators say she had been shot in the stomach.
The complaint states the woman was young and in her early 20s with dirt on her knees and shins along with her hands and sweatshirt.
Detectives report, “It appeared she crawled to the tree. While she had small personal effects, like chapstick and an iPhone charger, she did not have a wallet or cellphone.”
According to the criminal complaint, Barclay changed his story several times while maintaining he was not ready to be a father the first time and thought the victim was going to have an abortion.
Detectives report, “She decided to keep the baby, which made Logan extremely angry, because he did not want that kind of responsibility.”
According to court documents, Barclay confessed that he took her for a walk on the night of April 16. The two argued about her possibly being pregnant again.
He told detectives the victim “would not stop talking about the pregnancy and how she wanted to keep it.” Logan told the detectives that she was “still talking about it, no matter how many times I told her to stop, she wouldn’t. And I broke. I snapped. Screamed at her, and took it out and said ‘stop following me, stop talking about it, please.'”
A 2014 study, “Associations Between Intimate Partner Violence and Termination of Pregnancy: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis,” published in the journal “PLOS Medicine,” found that intimate partner violence, including history of rape, sexual assault, contraception sabotage and coerced decision-making, was associated with abortion.
Another study by the Elliot Institute found a high rate of coerced and forced abortions among post-abortive women, as high as 64 percent.
Stories like that just make me sick.
I long for Jesus to come back and establish HIS kingdom in which righteousness swells.
That’s why good pre-marital counselling and discussions about values are so important to do BEFORE getting married.
Things like belief system, family values, do you want kids, how many, what happens with an unexpected pregnancy, does mom stay home and raise the kids, budgeting money, the list could be almost endless.
Righteousness DWELLS....
“Only women can LEGALLY choose unilaterally to kill a pre-born baby.”
You really need to go read that link I posted. That is not the only one I’ve posted like it too. The abortion pill has been used by a lot of men on their wives/gf to kill the unborn baby and the woman did not know because the pill was ground up and slipped into their food.
I was actually shocked that the baby in that story lived.
I have posted dozens of stories like that in the past and it’s getting worse as the drug gets easier to obtain.

In a perfect world that would happen. However we are not in a perfect world.
Considering all the stories I’ve posted and things I’ve read? I’d tell any woman in this situation to “take her baby and run before both are dead”.
I’ve read/posted too many stores of pregnant women either being killed or slipped the abortion pill. I’m like “Lady if he does not want the baby inside you, he does not want you either, get out now with your baby”.
And that is why I emphasized “LEGALLY”. I already visited that other thread. The man there committed a crime; he violated statutory law. What he did was absolutely NOT legal.
A woman sneaking off to the abortuary without telling her husband, though, is engaged in perfectly LEGAL conduct in many States.
Is this what the Dems mean when they say abortion when the mothers life is in danger?
If he’s pressuring the woman to have an abortion, the best thing to do is cut your losses and leave before he knows what happened and drop out of sight.
Some men do not deal very well with not being able to control a woman. They seem to think they own her, and would rather she be dead than not under their control.
“A woman sneaking off to the abortuary without telling her husband,”
Oh yes women have had abortions without telling their husbands.
I’ve also posted stories of men who tried to stop their wives/girlfriends from having an abortion but were unable to because it’s “her body” says the law and he has no say over it.
Yes, I’ve seen such posts.
My point is that one set of actions is a violation of statutory law, the other is not. It’s a double standard.
Of course, I’d prefer a single standard: abortion being illegal.
