The Boys Scouts of America is changing its name to "Scouting America", marking the first change in its 114 years. The change is to make it more inclusive.
Over 100 years of helping boys learn to be men now destroyed. This is a complete disgrace.
No, I provided a link from Scouts. So I already learned more, thank you very much.
You don’t have to insult us women. Not all of us are what you painted.
I never said I have a problem with 1-sex groups. For that matter, why not have 1-anything group? But if blacks can have it, so should whites.
Generally I don’t see a problem though in integrated clubs. In fact, in theory the best thing about these same-sex clubs is they help those lacking the essential figure in their lives. My husband grew up without a father, except his mom’s dad heavily filled that role until age 14. I think his mom put hubby in scouts especially for not having a good dad.
And I assure you, the video obsession is not from no dads, geez, nor is every other Ill such as urban decay (do you really want those bastards in their lives? They’re not fit.). Everyone is doing that and it’s hard to fight, especially when we ourselves are making love to screens too much. This has been a complaint since the ‘50s and more since Atari came out.
Not from what I see.
The only 2 groups that get ragged on for some homo problem with diddling boys are BSA (boys only) and Catholic Church (boys-only power positions).
It’s not really fair because the Catholic Church actually had probably about equal abuse of girls, but that’s not what guys seem to ever talk about.
I don’t know all stats either. There were millions of boys in BSA over those years cited for abuse. Wonder what the actual % of abuse was. Same with Catholics.
Meanwhile, curious how when females claim there was abuse, they are disparaged as just wanting attention and to bring someone down. Which may be. But not always - just like the males who are apparently not questioned by many on these fora.
Forgot to mention your not fully appreciating the history of Scouts.
TRADITIONALLY, CUB Scouts had Den MOTHERS. In the old days. My mother-in-law was DM for my hubby’s den.
So, it wasn’t all men.
Now they call the Den Leaders, etc. most of our Cub years was led by a woman in the den, and some the Pack.
