Biden is insane enough to believe such an outcome as desirable. I hope the Dem Party is not so insane as to think that putting their #1 opponent in jail will peacefully yield them a victory for their senile unpopular candidate. Even if they replace Biden, his administration's policies - domestic and international - are extremely disliked by the general populace.
To pursue such a course would indicate that they are prepared to forcefully defend their overthrow of the normal Constitutional order. ❓❓❓
Also could be that they think if Trump is in jail they can rig up a video debate. That would control everything. Biden would not even have to be in the same room. And of course they would have to compile everything and broadcast later, plenty of time to get edits in for Biden and for him to read off prepared answers. Enjoy the show. We are watching a movie.
