The Mc Claren Team apparently has a steering rack valve or seal problem causing back pressure in the opposite direction you want to go. The harder you tried to go the direction you wanted to the worse it was. Sometimes if you didn’t get in a hurry you could ease it to go the way you wanted but very unsafe on the road at normal speeds. The report on the radio is left turns= ok, right turns= hard in 1st run. 2nd run both directions are hard. That’s My diagnosis anyway. Ran across this several times back in My Jaguar/Rolls Royce days.
