The Cleveland Browns are planning to become the next professional sports team to ask their local government and taxpayers to fund a new stadium that would make the team billions of dollars.

According to Jeremy Pelzer of Cleveland.com, the Browns plan on asking for taxpayers to provide half the funding for a $2.4 billion domed stadium in Brook Park, or for a $1 billion upgrade to their current 25-year-old downtown Cleveland stadium.

No official plan has been presented or accepted at this point, but either version has the public giving a huge amount of money to the billionaire Haslam family, which owns the chain of Pilot Flying J truck stops.

The product is not as good as it used to be. The Super Bowl was all about Taylor Swift.

Lived in Cleveland for 4 years when I did my residency.

Not a Browns fan but went to mega Indian’s game.

Why? Hot dogs with the best mustard on the planet!

The jig is up. Taxpayers are done providing public funding for private profit. Billionaires take note.

Since the game is funded by television, not fans in the stands, it doesn't matter what dump the team plays in. Add green-screen curtains and let the networks add fans via computer generated imagery. The gamblers still watching Communist kneelers don't care anyway.

Cleveland’s pretty damn broke and this would be totally irresponsible...

So, of course they’ll go for it.

I am an old Browns fan....Otto Graham days.
A friend of mine coached offense under Ratigliano in the late 70’s.
Another friend was a player, nose tackle on defense.
I would tell the Browns, “ move to Oakland, there is an empty stadium that you might sell five hundred seats to watch your pitiful team lose most of their game.

In my next life, too late now, I will demand that a city build my factory or place of business.

This demand is attempted and succeeds in some cases but I will not support any team or enterprise that blackmails any city.

“Buy them one way bus tickets to Baltimore.”

Fish Municipal Stadium from the bottom of the lake and rebuild it. That’s what they deserve.

The city(if they would loan the money) needs some kind of guarantee it would be paid back..with interest of course. If the team can’t do this, then maybe they don’t need the new stadium; maybe a new team is what’s needed.

Not just the Browns...

Get a load of this...

Other stadium deals in the works for pro sports teams around the country

The NFL is starting to remind me of Disney.

And I'm wondering if both now exist to launder money for Deep State.
