Deporting some is better than deporting none. However, keeping them out in the first place would be best. And that includes defunding/prosecuting the NGOs that are encouraging the migration.

Why not just enforce the existing UN standards for claiming asylum.....ie that you have to claim it in the first stable foreign country you come to....that you do not get to pass through 17 different countries to finally get to the one you WANTED to come to?

When you do that you are not an “asylum” seeker. You are an economic migrant and an illegal alien. You can be denied entry at the border and unceremoniously deported if you are found in that country.
