That’s where many a loyalist was, in colonial America. It’s the mark of a virtuous citizen, an innocuous one...then an ostrich...and finally a contemptible human being.
It’s relative to the situation, which at some point becomes so dire, that ignorance is no excuse because ignorance is impossible. At that point a man might well ask, “Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God!”
The worst part about this is, I'm not even talking about taking up arms and trying to fight the military, or CWII, or anything like that. I'm just talking about choosing alternatives to paying the companies that are actively working against us, IE making our money count, and most of us can't even do that.
