I was at Chicago airport, stuck up a conversation with a couple from the UK, probably late 20 somethings. As we talked they asked where from the UK I was from, turned out they knew my old village and named my middle school! Small world.
Anyhow...they understood I’ve been here forever but soon asked, “so do you know about the whole ‘Tommy Robinson’ thing?”. These were typical working class from the Leicester area - very pro Tommy.
I think it’s one of those things, if you listen to the media and don’t live in an area affected by the muli-culti changes, which is still many parts of the country, people are just convinced he’s a thug...that is what they hear.
He is a soccer tough. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
