The underage thing , I think, was her traveling at 16 without parental consent or something about contracts.
Can’t remember. She was looker in that video.
Time Zone by Johnny Lydon and Afrika Bambaataa
Remix of Ball of Confusion by Love and Rockets
Everyday is Like Sunday by The Smiths
Yup, lots of partying with nuclear war as the backdrop.
I *hate* this song.
Sorry to pick nits, but Every day is like Sunday was Morrisey solo. 😁
“I melt with you”
I think of Jefferson Starship’s 1970 Starship song with piano by Grace Slick and lead guitar work by the late Jerry Garcia.

How Soon Is Now is one of the best songs of the 80s.
All good entries.
Here’s my particular one hit
Murry Head, One Night In Bangcok

I have been listening to a lot of their stuff on YouTube. It is pretty good. Better than Madonna. Except most of the lyrics are in German.
When I first heard this song I thought the lead singer had to be one sexy lady.
Not.
I agree. Loved The Smiths, REM, PIL, U2 (up until Joshua Tree) Violent Femmes to name a few.
My favorite album from that era was The Cult ~ Love.
’Til Tuesday - Voices Carry.
I remember the first time I heard The Pretenders’ “Brass In Pocket”, I was really anxious to see what Chrissie Hynde looked like. She was ok, but I had hoped for better. Still a great song.
With regard to cold war/nuclear anxiety, don't forget this one, which was moving up the charts when the Space Shuttle exploded after takeoff in early 1986.
In fact, that was the first song I heard after that event in January of that year. I was in training for work at the time in Waltham, MA when we heard. We went to lunch at a sub shop in the area and that song was playing on the radio.
I played that album a lot when it came out.
I remember the first time I heard this one, I had no idea who Peter Gabriel was, or that he was once the lead singer for Genesis.
Games Without Frontiers (with Kate Bush)

Saw him live twice. Great shows.
I was always a massive Cars fan, at least until Big Country hit the scene. There was no looking back after that. BC is still my favorite band, to this day.
Recently I’ve rediscovered the genius of The Jam. I liked them back in the day, but didn’t realize just how good they were until this past decade or so.
The 80s were simply amazing, overall.
