I remember Apple refusing to advertise on Rush's show despite a welcome from Rush. Rush was a huge Apple fan, and praised their products frequently and effusively. I always wondered if there might be some backdoor deal for him to go on and on about their products. And he was always giving away Apple products to callers. I remember him asking people "What do you want? An iPhone? An iPad? A Macbook?" Back then, Apple products, especially Macs, were associated with liberals. Rush broke down some barriers for them into a market that would otherwise have looked past them.

No, because he used Apple products even while he was a spokesman for Gateway. He also heavily promoted Snapple before they paid him. Why? He loved the product.
