That's why the Ukrainian government is now taking even more extreme measures to round up conscripts, which will be sent to the frontlines against their will to die?

They did.

And it has cost a lot of Russian blood.

Unfortunately Putin is willing to shed a lot more Russian and Ukrainian blood.

They did, and the first invasion failed. Now they’ve changed to an attritional war strategy. It is slow, but sure for the stronger side.
