Legislation that could have barred students from other states, attending college in Arizona, from voting in elections here. I don't know if this would pass muster. If the student is a resident for a particular period of time, I think the student is permitted to vote in that state.

Unless and until the student will be caught if they vote absentee in their home state, I think the idea is fine. If the student meets the lagl definition of residency, then registering to vote should automaticaly cancel their home state registration.
