I think this is the correct analysis, and find it interesting coming from such a a strong Trump supporter. Not that we will lose the House for sure, but we very well might, and keeping Johnson in place is like we already have.
But the bigger point you’re making is, we need politicians to stand up for our principles, not just talk a good game but then play politics when it really counts. This goes for Johnson AND Trump.
And whether people like Ukraine funding or not, THE ISSUE is he failed to stick to his promise to keep any funding for it tied to US border security. This is what most people should be upset about, as I am. That’s where the true sellout occurred.
You run your mouth but you have no principles, no loyalty and no morality.
” And whether people like Ukraine funding or not, THE ISSUE is he failed to stick to his promise to keep any funding for it tied to US border security. “
Yes. And the demoralization of one’s own voters is much worse when you cave.
Repubs voted unanimously against the 1994 Crime Bill, Obamacare, Clinton’s tax increase and did well in the following election.
Repubs had a seven seat majority and in a year it is down to one. It’s just not realistic that they can hold a one seat majority thru January, and Trump is making voter-demoralizing decisions on the hope that a one vote majority can be maintained.
It’s a big step to throw the opposition candidate off the ballot. I don’t think the Dems can do it with a one or two majority. A few of them are in Trump districts. Some are not like Raskin and are not willing to act like Maduro to “get” Trump.
It’s not automatic that Dems vote to throw Trump off the ballot.
It IS automatic that demoralized Repub voters weaken both Trump and Repubs in Nov.
