I prefer to eat a modest amount of good food at a modest price rather than a lot of so-so food at a considerably higher price.
I’m probably in the lowest 10% of American adult males by stomach size.
How pedantic is that? LOL?
I used to deal with demented people all the time. They used logic like that. It sounds like it makes sense, but when you actually think about it…its crazy talk.
Troll alert.
The REAL reason: Governors during Covid killed them.
I like buffets.
Embassy Suites have the best breakfast buffets anywhere. Our family of four would stay there. It was pricier than a Holiday Inn or Best Western, but it was a 2 room suite and not having to pay $40.00 for a very good breakfast was a win/win.
I went to a buffet a couple of weeks ago, by invitation. I didn’t realize the place was 95% vegan. Carbs, carbs, carbs, carbs. Almost no cheese. They DID have a “clam chowder” and I suppose someone had murmured “Clam” while standing next to it, but it tasted like potato soup.
I won’t be going back. It had a line at the door during a weekday afternoon, so I guess it is popular. I guess that explains why so many Americans are “Low T”!
But on the whole, thinking about buffets I’ve eaten at during the last 15 years (3-4), I’d say the prices were kind of high and most were Carb Heavens. I want meat on the menu. Not “Endless Bread”!
Sushi is Japanese for rice. It means a rice bar, like a salad bar. Lots of sushi contains no meat or flesh. You want raw fish?.. That’s sashimi.
There was a Thai buffet near where I used to live. Oh, it was Heaven!
LOL, they “be called” scrimps, and don’t forget the cheddah bayz biskits at the RL. They’d have an extra purse just for dem!
As long as it makes you feel better.
Facts matter.
Went last week to our local all you can eat Chinese Buffet.
Everything was great as usual.
They were devastated by Covid. Closed for some time then opened under strict rules. They barely survived.
When I was in high school, I worked at a gas station after school until we closed at 10PM. There was a chinese buffet place within walking distance. The owner would feed us for free if he could get a tank of gas for free. We worked it our with the owner of the gas station. I ate Chinese food 4 nights a week.
Visualizing an episode of Al Bundy with family at the buffet.......and clear them all out with his socks first...
.......🫕😁😁🍩🍨🍿🍻🍺
went to golden Corral yesterday....believe me, there were a number of very fat men gouging their faces, and not with salad.....
Trump did not shut down the country. We stayed open in Nebraska.
I have always hated buffet and avoided them. Disgusting crap.
Last summer, after the whole family bought my grandson to college, we stopped at Sam’s Original Restaurant. It’s located outside of Houston in Fairfield, Texas. It is billed as a veteran, family run restaurant offering all you can eat buffets of BBQ and Southern fare, plus homemade pies. It was not heavy on the carbs and offered a wide array of vegetables and salads. I thought it was very good.
