Its all fun and games until Boston Dynamics robodog is chasing you down an alley with bipedals right behind.

II liked the 1990s version of this movie.

Because the hive mind won’t be able to figure out how to defend itself against EMPs or the like.

It seems no one can post a decent excerpt anymore.

Re: "It seems no one can post a decent excerpt anymore."

Show me your excerpt and explain why it is superior.

Thanks.

The videos were the primary hook, as far as I am concerned.

Did you even read the link?

Poor title, worse prose. What excerpt quotes would you have posted?

On the flip side, Boston Dynamics is one of the best human robot companies in the world, and they just built the best electric powered human robot that anyone has ever seen.

Human robot videos typically get dozens of hits in the first hour at Free Republic.

What happened?

I have no idea - but, it will not disturb my afternoon nap.

Bye...

"Steam powered is much more cool."

That is cool. Too bad no one has made a movie with it.

How about a "Steam Powered Covered Wagon"? On the Oregon Trail, when it got steep, hitch a chain from the steamer to the tongue of the wagon behind it. Taking a huge load off the animals pulling the wagons.

"Old No.7" here, could work the rear of the trail. Helping on the downhill slopes; "Black Label" will cure the daily trail dust problem, and probably help them sleep better.

Wouldn't need "camp fires" neither. "Steam" your veggies; that old rock hard bread; and some rabbits if the boys had any luck during the day.

Would this have worked on "Wild Wild West"?

Do Robot batteries catch on fire?
