in 72 I was a correctional worker at Kansas state pen and the federal pen just got in the latest riot control gear 36in fiberglass rods with rib spreader, we got their old equipment which was better than ours, new 36in axe handles, order of the day was no over hand swings, the worked great.
That’s what need now, but places such as NYC and Chicago make the cops’ jobs very difficult, tying their hands, for most things; not to mention the no bail stuff and NO real punishments handed out in many instances.
