That’s how I feel.
You couldn’t make me take some of these hard narcotics if you put a gun to my head because I know better. Some of them are almost instantly addicting. Heroin and meth are probably top of the list, and the opioids are getting ridiculously strong.
But there are quite a few people who got hooked who didn’t know better, and were influenced by addicts who were around them, or pushers who deceived them. You could say it’s their fault for letting hit happen, but sometimes it’s more complicated than it seems, and now these synthetic drugs are shortening their life expectancy rather drastically. It’s hard not to feel for them.
I just think when a human being is suffering like that, just to throw them away like trash is wrong and lessens the value of life, when some human beings decide other human beings are subhuman and trash, it leads to places we don’t won’t to go because when it’s happened in the past, millions have been killed.
