Prayer Request - mostly for others but.... (VANITY of course)

It was suggested that I repost this for my friends / brothers in Christ - so here it is

1) A friend has been diagnosed with leukemia. Is now on chemotherapy. I may try to stop by his house and pray for him. I’ve got to listen to his voicemail first.

TODAY - NO UPDATE - I have not spoken with him in about 2 weeks - Lord willing maybe I can drop by Thursday for a quick visit

2) 2nd friend - pastor in his 80’s - heart trouble - going in for testing today - needs LOTS of prayers for healing - this man has been a Godsend, counseling me through very difficult waters; especially for 3 years now. A GREAT brother.

TODAY - I have spoken with him since the original request - he sounds MUCH better BUT still has issues regarding his heart - such a dear resource in troubled times for me, too

3) Another friend, pastor - in his 90’s - general health - been a GREAT brother in Christ for decades. He just needs healing and blessings. I often eat with him at restaurants on average about once per week or every other week.

UPDATE - This man has basically been my pastor since the late 1980's - has constantly been a great resource and encourager through many difficult waters - he maintains an insane schedule, especially for his age

Other prayer needs (me) - well, the Lord already knows the needs before I ask. So I’ll simply ask for prayers there, too.

Update - talked to this gentleman Tuesday evening - he’s feeling better but still tired. We talked for about 20 minutes and hopefully again in a couple of days.

He also said to let y’all know that he appreciates your prayers for him.

Don’t know if you saw this one for your ping list

I haven’t been able to talk to the friend with Leukemia - stopped by his house last week - his trucks were parked and no one was home

I called his number and have not received a call back - his daughter did it last time

It’s now been about 3 weeks since I saw him - I have no update

FATHER GOD,

So many of us have friends who seem to be falling apart with sickness, disease, deteriorating minds, and limbs...

May it be as it was in the wilderness as the Israelites journeyed to the Promise Land. There was not a feeble one among them.

LORD, we are in a wilderness of sin and despair.

May history repeat itself so we seniors can be as youthful as Caleb to fight the good fight to bring in the harvest. You are coming soon!
