Asked and answered. Northern Russia does not thaw in April, nor this completely. And snows are not normally this heavy in the North, either. Floods do happen in the South after the northern thaw, but not like this. Of course, you’d know that if you’d bother to listen to at least part of the video.
My local public golf course opened on May 13 last year, and it was a bit wet and spongy.
The same course opened on Saturday, and was dry as a bone, even after the nearly two feet of snow we got at the beginning of April.
Whether it happens early or late is irrelevant. They have flooding every year.
