Humans have eaten all forms of protein for tens of thousands of years. Imagine being the first to eat an oyster or a crab of any species. It’s cultural differences nothing else. Don’t like bugs don’t eat them. Lobsters are bugs in the biological sense so are crabs decapods are all bugs, the arthropods are only two legs away and are less than .25% by DNA shrimp are closer to spiders than crabs by DNA.

I am an accomplished world traveler and have eaten virtually every form of protein that won’t kill a human and some that can if not prepared right. I am not scared to push boundaries it’s part of what makes life an adventure.

It’s all fear porn no one is forcing bugs for people who don’t want to try them. Scream to the sky about the evil billionaires but it’s all media hype. I would love to see a documented proven case where people.were forced to eat bugs while being denied the purchase of other protein including vegetable proteins. If you can’t afford anything but bugs on a stick in Thailand that’s not the WEF global overlords at work that’s just poverty in a poor country where bugs are complete protein at a fraction of the cost of pork or chicken.

Those tacos in Austin are excellent they are crunchy and taste like deep fried shrimp or other shellfish why because they are 99.xx% identical to crab or shrimp.

>> Humans have eaten all forms of protein for tens of thousands of years... It’s cultural differences nothing else.

How do you know that, exactly? Recorded history spans about six thousand years; during that period, humans may have eaten whatever was available when desperate, but historical records show that the *preferential* protein source was MEAT. From the kinds of animals we still eat today.

What is your definition of “accomplished world traveler”? I have been around the block myself. Have eaten many things in many countries, and I am known as that guy who eats weird stuff. And yes, fugu in Japan and it didn’t kill me. BUT NEVER! Never have I encountered a country that PREFERS insect protein over other sources. Have you? If so, where?(Besides Austin, a weird place if ever there was one.)

>> no one is forcing bugs for people who don’t want to try them... I would love to see a documented proven case where people were forced to eat bugs while being denied the purchase of other protein including vegetable proteins.

Straw man. Yet any sentient being paying attention knows damn well that that is the way the WEF is heading. By their own admission.

Like I said, you are welcome to my ration. I’ll be eating beef, lamb, chicken, and fish.

Polymath... somewhat of an arrogant title you have assigned yourself. It’ll be interesting to see if you can support it.

I imagine at some point the government will start providing incentives, pay for advertising, etc. to push the sales of eating bugs.

Of course they do the same with dairy and other products.
