“But SCOTUS’ Dobbs decision in 2022 came after Trump’s 2018 decision and means there no longer has to be a federal level action....”

Not if you believe that fetuses in blue states deserve no protection.

I believe fetuses (which by the way is Latin for offspring, not clump of cells, in case you need a factoid when talking to pro-aborters) deserve protection.

But I also believe the U.S. Constitution doesn't give the federal government the power to decide on what's murder and what isn't. In other words, that's not an enumerated power.

>>>Exactly, Miami Rebel. I had always hoped Roe would be overturned—until it was and I realized that sending this life and death issue back to the states violated the 14th Amendment equal protection rights of the unborn.

During the past week, voices from Lindsey Graham to Susan B. Anthony’s Marjorie Dannenfelser have expressed our view that geography/where you live (or be born) should NOT decide whether you live!!!

I now think that BAD enough vis-a-vis Roe v Wade should have been left alone.

To the point, that I’m afraid that sending this referenda back to be voted on in the states is now an ALBATROSS around the GOP’s neck.

2020 Covid killed the Republicans!!!

2024 Abortion about to do the same thing!!!
