“I do not take a firearm as I lost them all years ago in a boating accident.”
Sounds like you had to get rid of all your firearms for some reason?????
I just found her in uniform:

“The sheriff’s office said its staff feels fortunate to know Jenneiahn and looks forward to finding a way to honor her at a later date.”

No doubt, protecting the life of her disabled son who lives with her was uppermost in her mind.
My first thought as well; but the article did not describe what his disability was. Possibly he was deaf, and only came upstairs at noon to search for food.
Very nice.
I had no idea such a thing existed, but it looks very effective.
I’ll have to pass it on.

Hard to say. The exact same item (door alarm wedge) appears on Amazon under many different brand names. So here’s what I did. I searched on Amazon for “door alarm wedge”, then I bought the one with the best reviews.
There are many door alarm wedges on Amazon with 4 1/2 or 5 star reviews. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them.
Just be sure to carry a backup 9V battery with you when you travel. I’ve never had a battery go dead on me. But a little extra planning can’t hurt.
Always ready.
Thanks.
I was wondering about the one you had, not the one in the picture.
If you’re that satisfied with yours, that would be good enough endorsement for me.
