I’ve seen them! Hit one with my car and it exploded stinky guts and worse all over my front end. Everyone I know has hit one or more. Me, 3 in the past 15 years.

Last week on an expressway in a relatively rural area here in S.E. Michigan, we passed over two dozen deer that had been killed by autos over about 25 miles.

The only reason we could think of about why so many is that with the snow gone, the grass along the highway is growing fast and it's more abundant than in the woods.
