Because it doesn’t make exceptions for the life of the mother.
Check
Hannity should have his girlfriend Lindsey on to discuss it.
Good grief a coward under every rock.
Defend the children. They do not deserve death.
“They” are the democrats setting the trap. First they act on emotion in their states against the SCOTUS decision which causes an emotional and extreme reaction from Az conservatives which in turn will give cause to put it again before SCOTUS who will then flex back and uphold a national mandate over states that will reverse their previous decision and remove more states rights.
The end justifies the means, Democrats operate on predicted reactions and the SCOTUS ruling and national override is the true target in the end. Conservatives are just as predictable and “they” use this to their advantage. This is how they have taken this country from the faithful and moral.
They know exactly how to trigger a reaction from conservatives and a desired outcome in their favor. And we keep letting ourselves get set up by acting on emotion and over compensating because of their triggers. They purposely cause us to step on our own feet. They are leading us by a nose ring.
It is a chess game and unfortunately they are winning because we do not play four moves down the road. I’m calling it now, this new legislation will cause it to end up back on the SCOTUS doorsteps and red states rights will be diminished even more because of it.
Glad someone mentioned that.
This law has been around since 1864, modified in 1913-one year after AZ became a state to protect the life of the mother. It has been basically ignored through Democrat and Republican governorships, legislatures, and attorney generals.
Where does the constitution allow states to pass legalizing the killing of innocent babies at a person’s whim?
“....which in turn will give cause to put it again before SCOTUS ....”
There is NO Constitutional issue. Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization is the law of the land. It doesn’t limit the power of states to outlaw abortions.
Whatever damage to the GOP this produces is entirely self-inflicted.
Hannity has always been a guy without a moral compass, but some one who wants to win.
This just underscores how much we miss Rush Limbaugh. He trusted his values.
“A law from the 1860’s is hardly the state deciding.”
How about those OLD laws from 1776?
Hannity, the FAKE conservative, is an A$$HOLE.
I wonder if he talks in his sleep? (so he can hear himself speak 24 hours a day)
Adultery requires abortion.
So, when Mtge day before roe v Wade became the law of the land back in 1970’s, there was a total abortion ban in AZ based on that 1860 law? Do I have that right? Now that roe v Wade is overturned, they go back to that law?
In the Tenth Amendment. Does the Constitution mean it or not when it gives all power, not reserved for the federal government, to the states undefined or unrestricted?
I’m a conservative with libertarian leanings. I think the Founding Fathers were as well, because they were about as right-wing as men could be without falling into anarchy.
They don’t recognize that absolutism makes any changes impossible.
I don’t think protection against murder of innocent people is forbidden in the Constitution.
If it is just a medical procedure that government can deny or allow individual’s then it is a state issue.
You obviously see it as simply a medical procedure left up to the individual’s choice, as long as she is female.
I agree with you that abortion is ending a life, but the the general culture doesn’t. Moral law is not Constitutional law.
You can work to get the pure position of pro-life to be the law of the land, while Democrats work to enslave Americans into socialism, get abortion until birth, build the death camps, and kill 60 million Americans.
You won’t win, but they will.
What I’m seeing is not people fighting for a plan to save life but instead I’m seeing thread after thread of various levels of pro-choice people who feel that finally they now have the upper hand to rid themselves of the pro-life movement or at least send it back to the distant Siberia of national politics.
