They are bragging, they know there’s no repercussions. They might get “reassigned” and get a negative review but since they didn’t confess to the really heinous and truly horrific truths, they still get the comfy life above the law.
Nothing happens, no one cares after tomorrow...
That’s why we have to reach beyond the positive law to get justice sometimes.
