This is true though none have been found that far back. which leaves a question. We simply haven't found them or where did we come from?

I agree with this.. Though other options of where we came from is on the table as far as I'm concerned.
We sure did not come from apes. fused chromosome 2 has fragments of telomeres in them. The body would've reject that as a fold protein(diseases)
