Passenger SIDE door, hmmm. Perhaps Airstream place the hinges on the OTHER side of the door so the wind can't help it open all the way while moving. Just a thought.

The Airstreams I’ve seen do indeed have the hinge to the rear, while most RVs always have them in the front, like my Winnebago. So, yes, this death might have been avoided if it was built like most other brands. Still, the door opened because she turned the latch handle. And of course she was illegally riding in the trailer instead of the truck cab.
