ROFL!!!
That is an incredibly stupid argument, always has been. Yes, you absolutely CAN legislate morality, and we've been doing it as long as there has been legislation. Prohibiting murder, rape, and robbery is legislating morality.
How’s that going for you-—because laws on rape and murder stopped happening when we made laws. It happened a lot less when we were a moral society. Laws didn’t slow down rape and immorality, societal norms and accountability to God did.
But I digress-—I wasn’t talking about the obvious (rape, Murder, stealing) because they are the 10 commandment laws and go without saying. I’m talking about these stupid laws of banning certain websites, setting curfews for driving, drinking ages, etc. These should all be left to the parent-—However, our society has dumbed down. That’s what I mean that you can’t legislate morality-—we have to get back to having a heart for Christ. All the laws in the world will do absolutely nothing without a change of heart.
Oh come on...Equating Murder, Rape and robbery, which have a direct physical and real effect on someone else, with social media is a very bad comparison.
Well it doesn’t work very well. In spite of all that legislation, people continue to rape, murder, and steal.
The truth is that you can’t really legislate morality.
