Sadly I hear that Tennessee is becoming more and more liberal every day.
Yeah, I heard Garth Brooks bar in Nashville is playing hip hop!
Same with Texas where Austin and San Antonio taken over by Democrats are experiencing the same kind of problems the big cities in blue states are. “Elections have consequences”.
You heard wrong 😑🤨
“Sadly I hear that Tennessee is becoming more and more liberal every day.”
They’re flooded with coastal parasites that think saying ‘ya’ll’ makes them Southern. I miss my old Nashville.
Nashville is becoming Ashville with it’s liberal idiocy. Pretty soon it and Memphis will be 3rd world crapholes.
“I hear that Tennessee is becoming more and more liberal every day.”
True. Worst is in the west, then moves easterly.
When our two US Senators voted to certify Biden’s stolen election, I figured it’s pretty much over for us here in TN.
This is because the population increased from 1.1 to 1.3 Million. Those 200M people who moved here were from the more liberal states to our south and west. Not just MA either.
It is also the people that had owned vacation homes here. Then when they retired they moved here permanently. They are the worst. They own expensive lake and ocean front houses and ski condos. They pay very high property taxes on those houses. Yet, they have no kids in school. Which is where most of the property tax goes. So, they feel that they are not getting anything for their tax. Which they aren't. They are the people that also push for an income tax.
In my town, we had a bunch of these blue haired liberals who have finally succeeded in pushing through the bond vote to build a new library. Three other previous votes were defeated. Last months vote finally passed. The majority of old people who voted for it want a “community center”. There were also a lot of young moms who wanted it because they use it as a free day care facility. It literally passed the 60% threshold by less than 10 votes. My point in this story is that they have been trying to pass this library for twenty years. It never passed until the Dems in my town now have a clear majority. In the past people thought it was CRAZY to even think about spending millions to build a library.
Only the big cities, and there are only three of them. The rest is extremely red, you can count on our votes, rural outnumbers city dwellers.
But we won’t know for sure how much damage has been inflicted by people moving in until the next election. We’ll have to compare numbers from 2020. But the overall voting isn’t going to change, not when it’s starting at 70% republican. My county is 87%.
You're talking about Nashville, right?
Memphis? It's always been like that.
Tennessee is a huge state. So just two blue cities.
