My thought process on animals is this, life doesn’t just happen. It takes a miracle to make something alive. It takes a living spirit.

I am pretty sure that God has better things to do than to spend time on trillions of miracles every hour of every day when something alive physically dies and needs replaced. It just doesn’t seem to make sense to me that God is creating all these spirits of insects, mammals, fish, etc over and over and over.

I also think that the Bible says things for a reason, as in the statement “it is appointed unto men once to die, and then judgement”. Why would God take the time to tell us that? Why would God have not said “it is appointed for all to die once, and then judgement? That seems to me to be saying that other things besides “men” may not be “appointed” that way at all.

I also think that there are some beliefs held by some people that, while biblically wrong, may have been sparked by some shred of truth...as in reincarnation. While obviously clearly wrong for mankind from a biblical perspective, the shred of truth in it may just be that everything else that is indeed merely physically alive, except mankind, has this happen.

Therefore, it seems quite possible to me that an animals spirit which makes it physically alive may just be what animal it is physically alive in at that moment in time from our perspective, and that it has been alive in previous incarnations in the past and will be again in the future.

What is really interesting to me about animals is how each one can have a wholly different demeaner about them. I think that also has something to do with what we call “instinct” and with what the Bible refers to as in everything producing after its own kind, and them being reincarnated.

I’ve spent 40 years waiting for That One Dog to somehow get back to me.

I’ve searched the eyes of every dog or puppy I had, looking for him in there somewhere.

All my dogs have been loved like mad but I’m still hoping for him again.

I do think maybe previous dogs influence their “ replacements”.

I was heartbroken that Hrafi wasn’t more like Bubby who I’d lost and then one day, Hrafi took up singing the song of his people if I left the room, just like Bubby did
Not gonna lie, I was halfway up the steps and I just cried for the joy of hearing that.

And then I lost Hrafi too and months later got a pup.

He immediately grabbed one of Hrafis screaming chicken toys and I cried again.
Months of not hearing those chickens shrieking constantly just about killed me.
The deafening silence of this place was unbearable.

And now little 4 month old Bannor has been trying out his howls

If nothing else, it has to be my lost boys telling him what I need to have to get by, especially now that all else is gone.
