I probably wouldn’t choose to live in Dubai, considering the conditions of the world.

Dubai is probably more stable than the U.S. right now.

Long term, I'll say the U.S. because of our constitution and history. But we'll see how long that is going to last.

I don’t trust ME countries, period. Nonstop.
If I were to go to one, I would visit, but I would never live there. No matter how veneer civilization is in those countries, they are 7th century in their mentality. The only thing that modernization gave them is the ability to trap people in the country, with no means to leave if they turn on a dime and become fundamentalist.

In America, I would choose a red state, that is deeply and culturally red. I would choose a rural life. My impression from Youtube videos is that Tennessee may be the best state for a rural red guy or one of the Carolinas, for the climate.

If I were to go to Europe, I would also choose rural. Scotland has a pretty temperate climate year round thanks to the jet stream. The northern lochs tend to be left alone, which is what attracts me to them and Northern Scots have an independent spirit, because they are so far away from the mainland and are on their own.
