Most folks look at Sodom and Gommorah being destroyed because of sexual immorality, including homosexuality. It was far more than that, and in fact the corrupt judicial system was the main reason, according to Midrashaic sources. That is why I wanted to use both definitions.

But your original language was very specific to just the debauchery there:

It has been for a while, pre or post Christian America. The 10 commandments are a dead letter, like the Constitution. People have a fertility festival, involving eggs, bunnies, and top it off with eating ham.
I imagine Christ saying, did we run out of lambs or something? Now the US President dedicates the date to something that is Unholy in the extreme.
We have a long way back, or forward, depending on your view.
Christ has indeed conquered Death, HE IS RISEN.
Arrests, proper trials, and a just sentence. Anything less will feed the ravenous beast that is anger.
He didn't have to affirm his "preference" as recently as 3/29 with Easter looming in the shadows, but that's what he did.
He and his fellows were looking to see how far they could push it.
