Yesterday, Hubby saw a different PCP because we moved back to our prior town recently. When he walked in, Doc snarled, “What do you want?”
The same guy had been our PCP from 2010-2016, and he had been fine. As you noted, things had “declined”.
Case in point...
In March of 2020, Trump’s CMS relaxed regs and allowed any residential care that needed to do it the ability to refuse to take sick CoupFlu patients from hospitals.
In NYS, Cuomo did something different. In May, Cuomo ordered the facilities to take back sick patients anyway.
The vast majority of the facilities did just that even though, thanks to Trump, CMS regs were no longer an issue.
There’s been speculation about why so many facilities complied with Cuomo’s diktat.
Rumor has it they were threatened with increased regs, inspections, pulled funding.
If so, it worked.
If we get the republic back and anyone wants to get to the bottom of what happened in NYS, at least Upstate, I can tell them where to look.
