Many turtles are omnivores. My son’s pet box turtle loved raw hamburger. Snapping turtles eats birds, fish, frogs, etc... .

That is what I fed my childhood pet box turtle.
And insects, of course.
The turtle lived in a basement window well - so insects were there in abundance.
He was a happy turtle, basically.
