The 80v battery is attached to the radio. The radio appears to be used in generating an alternating direct, likely with much high hertz.....
not familiar with Russian military radios, but many American aviation devices operate in the 200-800 hertz.
Wouldn’t be to difficult to cobble something together that would generate an unpleasant experience for the recipient.
They were foolish to let themselves be taken alive. Now the Russkies will make them regret that. We should treat captured goathumpers the same way they do - without mercy.
Theses so called Terrorists were paid killers. None wanted to be with Allah
and have their one 72 year old virgin. They were Mercenaries.
Who paid them? Who directed them?
Torture can help put together simple building blocks for things that you sort of already know and can verify or that can be quickly acted on or that lead to the useful questions for the guy who is next in line, but it isn’t the way to go seeking to learn about things that you don’t know and are trying to discover, to unlock unknowns.
There’s video of two of the four, upon capture, singing like birds. Obviously, the Russian FSB, Mossad, CIA, MI6 know what they’re doing from many decades of experience. They are the pros, you and I don’t really know. The terrorists were brutalized after their initial interrogation to confirm and expand upon their initial statements. Since these terrorists had zero ideological motivation to withhold information, perhaps the torture wasn’t necessary. We just don’t know.

Russians demonize themselves. They don't need any help from me.
Of course. The Zeepers are already making excuses for what information
that might come out about who funded and directed these paid killers.
They are not interested in who funded and directed these paid killers.
Oh yeah, regarding torture for Russian internal PR, you are correct. I don’t know if you saw my reply on this thread, #63, but I concur with you and the guy I quoted take on it.
Don't know. Suppose we should try the methods on Mr. "Unwittingly" James Clapper. for further study?
Nice sidestep!
A telegram channel linked to Wagner paramilitary force said the picture of Fariddun shows how ‘an ordinary interrogation takes place using a military field telephone TA-57, in common parlance ‘Tapik’.
‘By turning the coil…discharges are released through the wires... up to 80 volts, which in turn are connected to the prisoner by the fingers, ears or genitals…
‘For best effect, the captured militant should be poured with water.’

Agreed. If the current applied to the person is well after the battery and coming somewhere from the radio where it is changed from straight DC to something a little more potent, then it would not be a pleasant experience.
What I’m wondering is why fool around with tapping into a radio’s circuit to find an unpleasant voltage when common house current or that from a common generator is simple and easy to use with equal effect?
I’ve been bit by house current several times as well as spark current from a car’s ignition system, and those little jolts really got my attention.
Yes indeed.
Now that’s carrying this leftist push for everything to be “electric” too far!
It seems that is following the leftist dictates for everything to be “electric” to save mother earth a bit too far!
MY GIVE A DAMN METER IS BROKEN
You feeling defensive? Need to get out ahead of the issue?
We should do that while hooked up to a lie detector when testifying under oath in Congress.
