The Senate on Friday will consider a $1.2 trillion, six-bill funding package with a midnight deadline approaching to avoid a partial government shutdown.

This compromise suite of legislation has detractors in both parties. Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) has expressed displeasure at the price tag, although he isn’t expected to stand in the way of a vote.

I was going to watch but wont bother. They're going to dutifully vote this through, LBGT earmarks and all.

And they're proud of it !

As to the Republicans who supported this, one must ask: WHY?

For one to even pose such a question (except, perhaps, for some rhetorical purpose) is to reveal that one has no clue whatsoever as to what is actually going on.

Nothing is more pathetic than such complaints being directed at the GOP, as if Republicans exist to fight this madness.

Those trapped in the Dem v. GOP paradigm at this point have nothing meaningful to say. Nothing.
