These people are plain weird, with their strange pagan religion. I predict there will be significant and damaging environmental consequences of this lunacy. Every time these zealots do something for their environmental god they create subsequent catastrophe that is then covered up until they embark on their next fantasy. As I said, these people are just pagan weirdos.
It makes one wonder how many sugar maples, oaks, walnut trees etc. they could plant; and how much extra carbon suck they get from these monstrosities.
I guess the real question is who is getting fed this money.
