West of 3rd Street between Atlantic and Beach blvds. there are some very rough minority neighborhoods.
Chances are many of this element had a short walk or drive to cause this stupidity.
Like all places there is an element of vermin everywhere, but that area from all I know has not in the past had this type of violence, regardless of where they came from, when you see that type of crowd forming it’s probably best to leave otherwise anything can happen.
If you examine the current situation around the country and this being an election year, I could see a George Floyd type situation happening in Jacksonville this summer.
You have a large minority population; you have violence of all kinds in that community, and you have a real division between the JSO and the Mayor who is a woke female idiot.
You throw in that Florida is a red state and riots breaking out everywhere would be a great story for the media about how unsafe it is in Florida, etc..

He confirmed a few things, at least one of the suspects is an active gang member confirmed by the JSO.
Approximately 250-400 people met up at the Jax Beach Pier where the trouble began, two of the suspected shooters were shot after shooting at each other.
The one person killed was a bystander staying at the Best Western Hotel.
The ethnicity of everyone involved was the same.
