I knew a guy in the 80s that had SEVIN DUIs.......because one of the main effects of alcohol is lowered inhibitions, once intoxicated they care very little about breaking the law.

In some states like California it can be charged as murder rather than manslaughter in some cases, like driving with a revoked license, driving 75 in a 25 mph zone, drag racing, or driving the wrong way on an interstate while drunk.
