Yeah I’ve never been that impressed with any of these efforts to convey what Earth is all about to any alien recipients.
Admittedly it is a hard assignment. I would have elected to do nothing. The spacecraft itself with its controls include enough evidence that people like us exist. Any communication beyond that would take a while and is probably not desirable anyway.
Seeking to communicate with potential highly technologically advanced and potentially hostile aliens is not just bad policy.
It is totally and completely insane.
