I’m not talking about homeschooling and I didn’t home school. I’m talking about paying attention to what your kid is learning (or not learning) and doing something about it yourself.
PS- I do support homeschooling and I expect the best students going forward will come out of the homeschooling ranks.

My parents paid attention. My brothers and I were mostly publicly educated, but when the need arose, we had private education, as well.
