A RUSSIAN military plane crashed in a fireball after flames were seen spurting from one of its engines.

It is the latest disaster from Vladimir Putin's creaking military as the IL-76 went down in Ivanovo, Russia.

The large aircraft is widely used by the Russian military as a transport plane for the war in Ukraine.

It is reported numerous bodies were recovered from the wreckage.

Dramatic footage captured the plane plunging from the sky with flames spitting from one of its engines.

Putin's military is wracked with corruption and its vehicles and aircraft are often poorly maintained.

Perhaps I misread your post, I thought you said liberating them from Russia would be a PITB.

Yes. I anticipate that, worst case scenario, the Russians could overrun them or at least establish a substantial lodgement in them. This is because of their unfortunate geographic situation (look up the “Suwalki gap”), which could make it difficult to reinforce them in timem depending on how the pre-war plays out.

NATO would then have to eject the Russians. Thats what I think could be a problem.

I suspect that the Balts would make holding them very challenging.

Maybe they would even free Kaliningrad.

The Balts certainly intend to.
Taking Kaliningrad is certainly on the program, but its going to be something of a siege, and will take a while, weeks or months.

As fini said they must find a root cause to close the investigation. When all you have is charcoal and melted metal finding a mechanical/electrical cause is challenging...

"4 engine jet...should fly fine on 3 engines."

Exactly. Multi-engine design. One engine fails, the other engine/engines; should get you all the way to the "Crash Site".

This guy loves his job...

Tell Russia to leave Ukraine. It’s not their country.

Tell Russia to send "General 200" Syrskyi's new crop of massacred Ukrainians back from liberated Avdeyeka, so their wives and mothers can bury the pieces.

“Children are safe in Spain. And almost all of Europe.”

Tell that UK:

Nothing like that in Spain/the continent.
The UK is badly screwed up. Worse in some ways than the US.

“Nothing like that in Spain/the continent.”

Yet. But, regardless, you have the same type in Europe, by the TENS OF MILLIONS now - kids are no longer safe, but, like most European women (until lately), you’re welcome to think otherwise.

You know as well as I do that is not true, there is child trafficking, drug use, mob, mafia…. With that said, those who trade security for liberty get neither

As I have been told many times that I should go fight for Ukraine, so I will say, if it is so safe and wonderful I suggest you move there

Tucker spewed about how wonderful Moscow was, the beautiful subway, the wonderful architecture…. He never ventured out of Moscow or even to the outskirts where beautiful architecture is replaced by Soviet drab concrete high rises, where 104$ for a cart of groceries wow tucker but average pensioner only get several hundred A MONTH, the beautiful subway built under Stalin with lots of slave or forced labor is indeed wonderful and safe, you dare not litter, say the word war or criticize the govt and esp der leader or you end up in prison then off to the front

Tucker didn’t say that lol he accepted a dead Ukrainians watch from Putin, that tells me alot

We’re talking about RUSSIA here, not the US Southern Border. please try to stay ON TOPIC.

No I saw Ward Carroll's video on the subject of the ungrounding.

However, this does point out that at least two of us took the time to look at the available facts rather that blindly jumping on the V-22 bashing wagon.
