A drone launched by Ukraine fell and caught fire at an oil depot in Russia’s Kursk region bordering Ukraine, the regional governor said on Sunday.

“Fire brigades and emergency services are working at the scene,” the governor, Roman Starovoit, said on the Telegram messaging app, without giving further details.

Was it a Boeing made drone?

More Ukrainian drones “falling” on oil and gas facilities in St Petersburg right now, too.

A Ukrainian drone just “fell” on a military aircraft hangar at the St Petersburg airport, too.

Russia is learning how to fight against America’s technical superiority using low tech with a combination of new tech. They are producing around 35,000 drones a month now too. They even invented a new drone that uses a fiber optic cable that can go a couple miles and is impossible to jam.

They are also adding rudimentary AI to send drones at specific people and objects that don’t need an operator.

When I heard about the cable, I thought it was impossible. But they are making strong flexible fiber optics that are about the width of a two hairs. I imagine a fleet of fifty tanks trying to take on ten thousand drones?

Battlefield tactics are changing. Steel sharpens steel, we are making a weak Russian army much more capable.

That’s 530 miles from the closest point of Ukraine.
Who is controlling those “Ukrainian” drones?

So, what's your estimation? Russia will finally win the war in 5 or 10 or 100 years? No matter what, it looks like a war that Russia can't win, no matter what new tools they get. After 2 years, the 'superior' force is in a quagmire, and can win some battles but lose others. That's no way to win a war.

“That’s no way to win a war.”

My guess is Ukraine will sue for peace this year. I know people like to believe that Ukraine will fight to the last man, it is simple not true.

The Pope is encouraging Ukraine to start waving the White Flag now. I believe this is the beginning of the end this year. Russia is advancing on all fronts now.

Russia has been advancing on all front for more than 2 years, with not much to show for it. It's a quagmire, just like the last 2 years. Russia will be in the same places and showing gains and losses for the next 10 years, and will reach 500,000 deaths in the fighting in the next few years. Again, not a way to win a war.

And, don't mention the poop. He is of no consequence anywhere and of no consequence on anything. He's a fake pope.

Do you think everything to learn in the Russian debacle is invisible to the advanced militaries of the rest of the world and that only Russia can see what lessons are to be learned, or even that Russia is more capable of developing the next generations of technology and choosing which ones should be developed, and in what form?

I guarantee you that the Eurotrash reptiles ruling Europe do not want their troops fighting Russia alone because the Russian army is ready and battle tested. The Russia NATO war, like all wars, has acted like a hammer and forge to pound the dross out of the Russian army. American and NATO troops in advisory roles have not been through the forge of war and if they decide to become declared combatants European and American cities will be targeted by missiles and drones. Expect China to have a role in this as well. The second China moves openly to enter the war expect an abject surrender by the fools in DC who deindustrialized the U.S. They know that the only thing saving our bacon right now is our nukes but mutually assured destruction doesn't win land wars on the Eurasian steppe.

You sound exactly like Putin. Or, do you take your talking points directly from Putin. Being so boastful is what dictators do in order to try to scare their enemies from taking defensive actions.

Russia is a bully and acts as such. They can only take on smaller countries with smaller armed forces. Russia would back down immediately if the NATO forces decided to take actions against Russia. Russia fears NATO, which is why they wanted to create a buffer against NATP in Ukraine. NATO with the U.S. in it, is something that Putin/Russia cannot deal with, and Russia is only acting now because we have a very weak president in the U>S. now. Otherwise, Russia's dream of rebuilding the Soviet Union would be dead. In fact, when Trump was president, Russia was very quiet and contained. Russia is acting now before Trump gets back in. If Trump wins, Russia loses.

China is also emboldened now because of our weak president, otherwise, they'd also be contained. If Russia and China want to do anything together, they'd better hurry up before the election, but, even if they get together, it would guaranteed a Trump win and a very large war, which nobody wants; not Russia and not China and not the U.S. and not Europe and not the world. So, your wishes for a Russia win are misplaced.

I’m surprised the Russians aren’t claiming that someone smoked at the wrong place.

At least, they did not claim a lightning strike.

Kind of like the "droneish" version of "bad weather" for 50 years.

True. Each time Russian ship is sinking or another oil depot is hit, Russia is getting stronker.
